Students in 3rd through 5th grade are eligible to apply for the Student Leadership Team (SLT). This team helps students develop leadership skills, good character, decision-making skills, and encourages responsibility. Students serving on the SLT have the opportunity to help around the school and the community. Four students from each grade are chosen based on essays they submit along with teacher and parent recommendation. Some of the requirements of team members include enthusiasm, commitment, and the desire to be a positive student leader. Team members stay after school for an hour once a month. The SLT is involved in projects such as making our school a safer place, community service projects, and helping with school programs.
